Silence with its pauses composes music together with sound; a pause is something inaudible made up of many silent notes, but it is our apparent deafness to these that allows us to appreciate what constitutes a musical melody. The equivalent of silence for us is the void, made up of what cannot be seen immediately, this void will be the object of investigation for a blindness that wants to reveal harmonic entities in an architecture too prostituted to the image. Music and architecture constitute the environments. For J. Cage the entrance into the forest of noises; sounds and silences implies the development of the capacity of oblivion of memory and the subjectivism of the ego that controls the right and the emotion, breaking the barriers of values and hierarchies that condition the feeling, opening up to the unknown, starting from the creation of the void. Silence when stripped of its three-dimensionality, and audible in a continuity between sound, noise and silence.
